Why create an account

The accounts or logins in for the Darwin administration area are not the same as affiliate or merchant account logins. They are user logins and allow access to Darwin even if you are not an affiliate or a merchant.

This distinction and separation allows for a number of functional changes:

  • By signing up as a user via Darwin you are able to link yourselves to more than one affiliate or merchant account allowing simple account switching from a single login i.e two people can have access to one affiliate account with only one having to be signed up as an affiliate and the other as a user.
  • An affiliate or merchant account can have more than one user, each with unique login credentials and each with defined levels of access
  • A user can add their own personal contact information to allow improved communication between affiliates, merchants and us as a network
  • A user can easily switch between Darwin and the old administration area although we would advise to use Darwin as much as possible

In addition to the above, Darwin users will get access to all the new functionality being developed by Affiliate Window. Affiliate Window is moving every system, setting and piece of functionality across to Darwin and a user account is required to gain access to it.

Functionality for Users in the Darwin Administration Area

Currently, developed users with permission rights are able to choose what functionality other users of their affiliate or merchant accounts can access. This gives the ability to restrict certain users from being able to access sensitive reporting, financial details, invoices and payment details. With the recent acquisition of buy.at onto our network you are now able to link both your Affiliate Window and buy.at accounts to your Darwin user profile by clicking on ‘Manage Accounts’.
