Affiliates create profiles in order to define their business in detail for a merchant to view. This is helpful when a merchant is wishing to review a pending application onto their programme by an affiliate and checking for pre-requisites. Affiliate profiles are often important for those promotional types such as PPC and e-mail marketing where the merchant is often unable to view a URL and has to rely on the affiliates description.
Merchants
With the introduction of Darwin merchants are now able to search for, view and invite affiliates onto their programme. This functionality ensures Darwin breaks down barriers and allows merchants know who their pending and current affiliates are. This additional tool allows them to use an affiliate’s profile to decide if they want to approve them to their programme. A further advantage of an affiliate profile is that it makes building and managing an affiliate base considerably more transparent.
