What is FireAW?
This application has been developed in response to feedback from the affiliate community who want to create deeplink quickly and simply.
After installing this add-on on to your Firefox browser you will be able to create deeplinks to any page of any Affiliate Window merchant with a single click!
Installation & Usage
To use FireAW you must first download the add-on from Darwin, you can do this by navigating to the FireAW page under the Links & Tools menu within your affiliate account.
Once you click on Install it will open a new tab in Firefox and present you with a simple wizard which will take you through the setup process where you are asked to enter your Darwin username (email) and password. Simply follow the set up instructions and the Deeplink builder will plug right into FireFox, ready and waiting to be used.
If you have a number of affiliate accounts in Darwin then you can even select a default.
After installing the Deeplink Builder a button like the one below will appear beside your URL bar.

Using FireAW
Simply browse to any Affiliate Window merchant website and create a deeplink to any product (or page) by simply clicking the aw icon or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+B.
NOTE: Deeplinks can be generated for any merchant on the network irrespective of your status with that merchant. However you cannot generate deeplinks to websites that do not work with Affiliate Window.
The code for the new deeplink will appear in a pop-up window (such as the one below) with some options. With your preferences made, copy the code to your clipboard, then paste it on to your site, email, blog then set it live.
You may configure the link to your desired structure,
- Take the link as a URL or pure HTML
- Add a Click Ref
- Edit the alt text
- Create a shortlink using tidd.ly
Once you have defined your preferences simply copy the link to the clipboard and paste it on to your site, blog or E-mail.
FireAW Options
There is also an options page within the add-on where you can go to edit any of the preferences or details previously set up.
Security
Although you are adding your Affiliate Window password to your installation of this add-on, your login details cannot be compromised. The functionality is as secure as the whole Affiliate Window system.
