Advertiser Transactions Report

The Transactions Report is designed to provide you with a complete overview of all transactions that pass through your account.

This powerful report has several filter options so you can look at all your transactions in a number of ways, be it by status (pending, approved, declined) or even by the type of transaction (such as bonuses, tracked transactions and transaction queries). You can refine your data by the date the transaction occurred, or by the date it was validated. You can also use the filter options to extract data on specific publishers. And of course there is a search if you’re looking for a certain transaction (such as one specific order reference).

Understanding the various ‘Transaction Status’ options

PENDING

These are tracked transactions that have not yet been reviewed (i.e. validated) by you. These transactions are sales that we believe should be awarded to affiliates. Your responsibility is to validate (make a decision) on these transactions, deciding whether you can approve (pay in full), amend (pay in part) or decline (not pay) for each sale. In line with best practice guidelines we suggest that transactions are only declined if the sale was not completed (ie; the order was cancelled or a refund was given). For more information on validation best practice please speak to your account contact. To validate these transactions please visit the ‘Commission’ tab and go to ‘Validate Pending Transactions’.

Approved & Declined

This option will show you all tracked transactions, bonuses, tenancies, CPC payments and transaction queries which have already been validated as either Approved or Declined. Selecting this option will show you all transactions, both those that may have already been paid to publishers, and those that are yet to be paid to your publishers. APPROVED

This option will show you all tracked transactions, bonuses, tenancies, CPC payments and transaction queries which have been validated as APPROVED. Selecting this option will give you all sales that you have already paid alongside everything you currently owe (or are due to pay soon) as a combined data set. DECLINED

This option will show you all tracked transactions and transaction queries which have been validated as DECLINED.

BONUS

This option will show you all transactions that have been manually added to your account and will include bonuses, tenancies and CPC payments (please note that bonuses are not added as ‘pending’ and always added as ‘approved’).

Some common ways to use this report:

“I want to match this report against a recent invoice”

Use the ‘from’ and ‘to’ filters to select the date range of the invoice. Select ‘Based On’ as ‘Validation Date’, select ‘Transaction Status’ as ‘Approved’. Generate report

“I want to see all transaction queries”

Use the ‘from’ and ‘to’ filters to select the date range of interest. Select ‘Transaction Status’ as ‘validated’. Generate Report.

From here you can extract the report using the ‘Options’. Filter the CSV or Excel file by ‘Type’ to 7. To further filter based on approved or declined transaction queries use the ‘Commission_Status’ column.

“I want to see all transactions that were manually inserted (such as bonuses and tenancies)”

Use the ‘from’ and ‘to’ filters to select the date range of interest Select ‘Bonus’. Generate report.

“I want to see which sales were cross device transactions”

There is a column when you extract your CSV or Excel report called ‘device_name’. This will show either the device type or cross device.

“I want to see the performance of a particular voucher code”

Use the ‘from’ and ‘to’ filters to select the date range of interest. Select ‘Transaction Status’ as ‘All’. Generate report. If you pass voucher code data in your tracking there is a column when you extract your CSV or Excel report called ‘voucher_code’. If you do not pass voucher code data and would like to track this please speak to your point of contact.

“I want work out the time difference between the click and the sale”

Use the ‘from’ and ‘to’ filters to select the date range of interest. Select ‘Transaction Status’ as ‘All’. Generate report. Extract the data and view the ‘lapse_time’ column. The data is presented in minutes.
